We provide complete in-house industry training while enrolled in the truck driver training programs. Whether you are looking for a career in oilfield, transportation, construction, industry, etc., Trans Industrial’s 1 to 6 week courses can provide you with the training, skills and knowledge needed to become successful in your career of choice.

The staff at Trans Industrial understands that preparing and knowing the steps needed to obtain a 1A/3A truck driver license can be difficult and extensive. Trans Industrial offers a 1 to 2 day 1A Learner’s Tutorial course as preparation for the written SGI examine (a pre requirement before receiving 1A Driver Training). All information (SGI Booklets and helpful questionnaires, and course consultation) for your learner’s license is also available at our facility free of charge.

Air Brakes & 1A Learner's License Tutorial

This course is designed as a preperation course for individuals who are seeking assistance or to gain more knowledge regarding the SGI Learner's License Exam prior to writing.  This course covers all areas of class 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Signs and hands-on training with equipment to better understand the Air Brakes system.

1A & 3A Truck Driver Training (1-6 Week Programs)

These programs are designed and catered to suit individuals specific career needs.  Whether you are looking for a career in transportation, oilfield, mining, or construction, you will find what you are looking for in any of our in-depth programs. Student Driver Practical Training Program

This program is offered to the advanced student enrolled in the 3, 4 or 6 week 1A Truck Driver Training Program.  This real world perspective allows students to get experience in their field of choice. (This program is offered on a case by case basis and will be judged primarily on student ability)

 

Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC)

The course is in a classroom setting. The Driver's Notebook contains case studies, driving tips and other useful information, in addition to the course. The course content covers defensive; driving techniques, passing, collision prevention, driving conditions, turns, backing driver awareness and impairments, and vehicle inspections.

Canadian & U.S. Hours of Service (Log Books)

This course is designed to teach truck drivers of commercial vehicles about the limited number of hours they can drive.  These regulations apply provincially, federally and those who cross internaional boundaries.

 

Axle Weights & Bridge Laws

This program teaches individuals on the laws regarding amounts of weights allowed on various roads/highways, seasons and equipment.  It also teaches individuals on the laws regarding tractor/trailer wheelbase and overhang dimensions.

 

 Department of Transport Weigh Scale Procedures

This program teaches individuals on the proper procedures when flagged to enter a D.O.T Scale for tractor, trailer and driver audits.
